This badge verifies that the recipient has learned archival research skills for Digital Humanities (DHI). This badge demonstrates the student’s understanding and mastery of DHI-related research and digital tools to preserve local history. They have effectively used digital tools for content management to preserve local history and visited the University of North Florida archives to gain practical experience in archival practices- etiquette, and standards, culminating in an insightful research proposal.

Earning Criteria

  • Successful completion of archival theories and methods with a minimum score of 80%.
  • UNF Archive Assessment–assessed competency of etiquette and standards–with a minimum score of 80%.
  • Successful completion of DHI Archives visit and reflection on theories and methods.
  • Successful completion of DHI research proposal.
  • Successful completion of a culminating reflection demonstrating understanding of skills acquired, their applicability to professional growth, and interest in Digital Humanities related projects and careers.
