This badge verifies the earner is knowledgeable of the basic principles of 3D printing, including types of 3D printers, 3D printing materials as well as fundamentals of the maker community and crowdsourcing 3D design resources. Earner is skilled in the safe operation, file preparation and basic maintenance of 3D printers.
Earning Criteria
To earn this badge, the earner must successfully complete five online modules and associated quizzes, and participate in a hands-on demonstration of understanding with the appropriate STEP Lab staff member.
