Full course description
Developed specifically for student-athletes, this badge recognizes the holistic development of a student-athlete with emphasis placed on career and leadership development. Student-athletes learn to harness the skills developed as an athlete, such as teamwork, time management, work ethic, resilience, adaptability, and the ability to cope with high-pressure situations and apply them to the workforce. The successful completion of the requirements confirms the recipient is a “Total Osprey,” a student-athlete who has developed core competencies to be a leader in the workplace.
Earning Criteria
As prerequisites to earning the Total Osprey badge, earners will have
- Earned the Professional Skills badge. (approx. 10 hours)
- Earned the Covey LeaderU badge. (approx. 30 hours)
- Earned two additional UNF badges of the athlete’s choice*. (approx. 20-40 hours)
PLUS
- Successfully completed at least 10 hours of community engagement.
- Successful completion of student-athlete specific transferable career skill knowledge check earning at least 80%.
*Fundamentals of Written Communication and Career Education badges are excluded.

UNF graduate and undergraduate student-athletes only.
